That special someone

Do you believe in true love? That there is that special someone waiting for you?

The one…

I’m going to share the story of how I met my husband and how the stars aligned for us.

When I was 10 I lived in Scotland, poverty was high and jobs few and far between. My dad was offered a job in Milton Keynes and we were ready to leave our loved ones in search of a better life.

Little did I know that a similar story was unfolding for a 10 year old boy living in Essex.

Two families from opposite ends of the country searching for a better future.

As it turned out something kept us both in the areas that we knew and loved. That was until 6 years later and my family made the big move to a sleepy fishing village called Wivenhoe, in Essex…

It was then that the stars aligned and a 16 year old me met my future husband, under a starry sky he asked me for a date and the rest is history as they say.

I have been lucky to have found “the one” early in life, others have to wait a lifetime.

Happy together for 22 years

But I truly believe that there is someone for everyone, if you haven’t met yours yet then keep looking.

Check out that night sky, you never know when those stars might line up for you….

Much love xxx

The youngest child

As a busy mum of 3 I sometime become complacent with being in the moment. I’m always thinking what next? Where do we have to be? What are we having for tea? I’m not the only one, am I ?

It’s just dawned on me though that my third and last baby Jasper is now 3 and starting school on September, of course I have realised this and have applied for his school place but I haven’t actually accepted this or really thought about what it means for us.

What am I going to do by myself? How on earth am I going to fill my time!? I’m weirdly dreading it and looking forward to it in equal measure. I guess I’m either going to have an absolutely immaculate house or I’m going to have to find myself a new hobby.

Either way I will be waiting at those school gates waiting to wrap my arms around the precious little boy that made me a mummy for the this time.

For now I am just going to take as many snuggles as I can with my little bear and hold him close, I’m not quite ready to let him go xxx
